Welcome to the St. James and St. John United Church website. Our church and Maple Glen United Church form the Newcastle Pastoral Charge.

Our weekly services are attended by a congregation drawn from nearly three hundred families, and our guests and friends. We also have a large and active Sunday School.

Located in Miramichi, New Brunswick, the church was built following the Great Miramichi Fire of 1825. The church and grounds were designated as a provincial historic site in 2004. Read more about our church history.

Notice Board

Please remember that the church and centre are scent free areas.

Would you be interested in going on a mission trip to Roatan, Honduras for about 2 weeks in February or March of 2018? We would like to go back and paint the church we helped erect last year. If interested please contact David Jardine 622-7236 or Rose Steeves 778-9494 for more information. We need to know by mid-January 2017 so we have time to do some fundraising.

Beginning tomorrow, January 9, Rev. Alice will be on Study Leave for three weeks. During this time Rev. Geza will be available as our supervising minister, for funerals, hospital visitations, etc. He can be reached at 622-2456. Pulpit supply will be provided by Kimberley Shaddick on January 15 and Daniel Szemok on January 22. Rev. Alice will be back for January 29.
