Welcome to the St. James and St. John United Church website. Our church and Maple Glen United Church form the Newcastle Pastoral Charge.
Located in Miramichi, New Brunswick, the church was built following the Great Miramichi Fire of 1825. The church and grounds were designated as a provincial historic site in 2004. Read more about our church history.
Please remember that the church and centre are scent free areas.
Here is a link to the Revised Common Lectionary.
Universal Portraits was at the church centre Sept 13 to 15 to take pictures to compile a new church directory. For those who have their picture taken for the directory you will receive a free directory. If you were unable to participate last week, they will be back to Miramichi on October 11, 12, and 13 at St. Michael's Basilica and they can accommodate you there. To book your appointment call 1-888-769-7339 or go online to universalportraits.com. Please note: Church groups are encouraged to have their group submit a photo to the church office to be included in the directory.
As you know we are currently compiling a church directory for the congregation. We have decided to include an advertising section in the directory. We are encouraging any businesses within the congregation to submit an advertisement for their business. Please phone the church office if you wish to purchase an Ad or know of someone who may be interested. This is a church fundraiser; all proceeds generated from this project will go to the work of the church. The following are the advertisement sizes and pricing you may choose from: Business card $50, quarter page $75, half page $100, full page $200.
